A group of biologists in one of Argentina's lava caves found a rare species of insects from the arachnid order. Nightmare haymakers for centuries have adapted to life underground.

Mowers or rhizomes are arachnids with legs incredibly long compared to the body. Despite the fact that they are completely harmless, these insects look intimidating. They move with sudden movements, often gathering in "balls" up to several hundred individuals.

Recently, researchers have discovered a new species of these arachnids. They were found in one of the caves of Argentina. And, according to biologists, they are not very similar to the already well-known trinkets, the magazine Popular Mechanics reports with reference to PLOS ONE.

It is noted that the creatures found have a loose exoskeleton. Their bodies are ghostly white and covered with a series of spikes. The eyes of a warbler are a series of tiny, barely distinguishable spheres of black color.

A new species of arachnid was described in the magazine PLOS ONE last month. They called him Otilioleptes marcelae. According to experts, this is a whole relict family of troglobionts (animals adapted for life in the dungeon), which has been preserved since the time when the jungle was in place of Otilia.
