The device’s technology is based on laser stereolithography (SLA) - the technology of layer-by-layer solidification of a liquid material under the action of a laser beam. Further, other printers heat the solid material to a state of plasticity, and then use it for layer-by-layer printing, according to the manufacturer’s website.
Dentists who have already managed to evaluate the new product speak about the high accuracy and resolution of the new printer. This method also allows the use of various colors and materials for the production of dentures.
The dental printer is called Form 3b. This is a modification of Form 3 and will come with special software.
It is planned to use it to create crowns and bridges, cleaning fixtures, guides for dental implantation procedures, special protective devices for the oral cavity, as well as integral prostheses.
