Next year in Frankfurt Renault will present a new compact crossover Captur. First, the standard version with internal combustion engines will be demonstrated. However, a little later it is planned to show a version with a hybrid engine. Renault is going to use a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, which will work together with an electric power plant and a 9.8 kW battery. The battery charge will be enough to cover a distance of 50 km.
The engine was provided by Nissan, and a similar unit will also be installed on the products of other companies, for example, they will be equipped with Mitsubishi, Nissan Qashqai and Renault Kadjar. In addition to the hybrid engine Captur 2020 will receive a 1.3-liter gasoline engine developed by Renault-Nissan-Daimler, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, which is now being finalized in accordance with the new environmental standard.
