Airbus was able to present the future aircraft even before the start of global quarantine. At the Singapore Air Show, he showed off the MAVERIC “flying wing” layout demonstrator.

An innovative circuit allows you to reduce drag and reduce fuel consumption, increase the internal volume of the aircraft. But, despite this, the innovation is quite demanding on the stability and controllability of the flight, informs "Popular mechanics."

The development of the new technology is entrusted to MAVERIC, an existing model with a wingspan of about 3.2 m, which has been tested since the summer of 2019.

According to the designers, the end of development is just around the corner. Indeed, at the same time as the demonstration of the aircraft, the design of the cabin for future airliners, made according to the new scheme, was shown.

Earlier, UPS Flight Forward entered into an agreement with Wingcopter, according to which the family of drones should be developed for the delivery of goods over long distances. The devices plan to create according to the scheme of a convertiplane.
