On the basis of Lexus LS assembled a prototype drone

Employees of the Toyota Research Institute turned the sedan LS at the unmanned vehicle. The prototype called P4 operates in two modes. Guardian mode involves the presence of the driver behind the wheel. Human productivity should be increased by an auxiliary semi-Autonomous system.

Chauffeur mode will completely replace the driver. In this case, the LIDAR laser rangefinder with eight sensors is activated, two additional cameras and a set of sensors are activated. A powerful computer processes input data to respond quickly to the environment and use machine learning algorithms.

Testing of the converted production Lexus LS will begin in the spring in Michigan, USA.
