Hotel in the form of a cube: a project of a design studio from the Czech Republic

An unusual hotel in the mountains was designed by architects from the Czech design studio Atelier 8000. The exterior of the hotel is impressive: it seems that it is a giant toy thrown by someone into a snowdrift.

Due to the special design, the illusion is created that the cube-shaped cottage is hanging on one of the mountain peaks. The sides of the hotel-cube repeat the relief of the mountains, thus complementing the amazing panoramic view.



The facade of the building is decorated with quadrant panels on an aluminum system. The panels consist of separate modules (size 1x1 m). The energy necessary for life support, the cottage receives thanks to a special design. Part of the facades, which are equipped with solar panels, are directed to the south and east.

The maximum potential for providing energy is realized through the introduction of thermal collectors and photovoltaic panels. An innovative air distribution system is responsible for the quality heating of the hotel.



The unusual hotel will become a cozy haven for lovers of winter sports. Five floors of the building house comfortable rooms for vacationers, a garage and areas for storing sports equipment, which can be purchased in this section of our website. In addition, the hotel has a restaurant, a place for relaxation and an attic with a magnificent view of the mountains.
