Amezaiku is the traditional Japanese art of making candy figurines. This trend originated in the 8th century.

In the hands of artist Shinri Tezuka, sucking candies turn into real works of art. The master's creations are made from a mixture that includes starch, sugar syrup and food coloring.

Shinri prepares the mixture in advance in large quantities. And just before creating a certain sugar sculpture, the craftsman heats it up to a temperature of 90 degrees, at which it becomes soft and elastic. The material hardens again in just 5 minutes. In order to have time to complete the shape of the product in such a short period, it is necessary to have great skill and endurance.

From the red-hot mass, the artist pinches off a small piece and fixes it on a glass tube. After that, he proceeds to the most difficult: with the help of scissors and other tools, he works out every detail of the sculpture.

To create a glossy effect, Shinri coats the surface of the sculpture with a tiny soldering iron. As a result, three-dimensional multifaceted sculptures are obtained, which are very realistic, but very tasty.

In the capital of Japan at the moment there are not so many masters who are engaged in such activities. Therefore, Shinri's creations are in great demand. You can also try to master this art form. You can purchase material for this purpose in the section "Grocery".
