Design studio Note Design Studio has designed pouffes that look like architectural arches. The collection from the Swedish team was called "Arkad".

The designers borrowed the idea for creating an original collection from architecture. Before proceeding with the manufacture of a piece of furniture on small copies of the arches, they made sure that the idea would be crowned with success. “This process reminded us of children playing with blocks,” noted Stockholm-based designer Malina Engval.

The name of the collection corresponds to the principle of the arrangement of arches (when they are close to each other, they form an arch). The simplicity of the design provides the furniture with dynamic properties. The piping around the edges of the product emphasizes the shape.



“During the creation of the sketch, we were looking for a harmonious symbiosis between dynamics and balance. There was something very familiar in the arches standing next to it, but at the same time fresh,” said Engval.

Pouffes were designed for -Zilio A & C. - a family furniture factory. Inside, each pouf is equipped with wood. The sides and top of the furniture are made of polyurethane and finished with textiles.
The decorated part is attached to a wooden base.

The shape of the pouffes is available in three versions. You can use the products both separately from each other, and together. The size of the instances is quite compact.
