Porsche introduced the top-end version of the current-generation Cayenne crossover, which, due to the time, the Turbo S turned out to be hybrid.
The full name of the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. As in the top-end Panamera modification, the car has become a hybrid. Under its hood was a 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with a capacity of 550 horsepower. Additionally, it was strengthened by a 136-horsepower electric motor. The total power of the power plant turned out to be 680 horsepower.
Under the boot floor is a lithium-ion traction battery of 14.1 kW / h with a liquid cooling system. It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge from a 400-volt terminal, and about 6 hours from an ordinary outlet. The electric car can travel up to 40 kilometers and accelerate to 135 km / h. Average fuel consumption is an average of 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
The manufacturer offers 3 operating modes: Hybrid Auto, Sport and Sport Plus. But with any of them, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid starts moving on electric traction, and the gasoline engine connects when the battery runs out, or with sudden acceleration.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is presented in two bodies: as a traditional wagon and as a coupe-like hatchback Coupe. Sales of the flagship Caines have already started.
