The car, once owned by the most famous British intelligence agent, was auctioned off at Sotheby’s auction in Monterey, USA. For Aston Martin DB5 1965, which is equipped with all kinds of spy gadgets, paid 6.4 million dollars. The buyer preferred to remain anonymous. Apparently, the "Bond" genre obliges to observe conspiracy.

According to the representatives of the auction, the car is equipped with a mechanism for changing license plates, a retractable bulletproof screen, an ejection chair, a system for releasing smoke grenades, spraying oil and other spyware.

This 1965 Aston Martin DB5 was one of two apparently identical machines created specifically for Eon Productions, which made James Bond films. The first was used for stunt tricks, chases and business trips of the protagonist. She was light, not weighed down by special espionage devices. This car was very close in appearance to the serial.

The second machine was intended to demonstrate spy devices and their capabilities. It is not clear how she traveled with them. As a rule, only parts of it appeared in the frame.

The Aston Martin DB5 is a GT class car released in 1963 by Aston Martin as a continuation of the DB4 series. The abbreviation "DB" comes from the initials of David Brown, owner of Aston Martin in 1947-1972. A total of 1,021 Aston Martin DB5 cars were released.
