The structure of this unusual house is determined by interwoven wooden columns. Crowns her - a canopy of wood-like weaves. The author of this project is JK-AR studio.

The three-tree house was created using the traditional Gong-po wood joinery technique, also known as Dougong, with digital modeling and manufacturing. Its structure consists of 4,006 pieces of wood, combined into three huge columns. They meet at the ceiling, forming a tree-like frame.

Since the designers used exclusively wooden joinery, any glue bases and fasteners were excluded. A polycarbonate canopy made it possible to create a large open living area, provided roof support, distracted from the hidden level of the mezzanine, kitchen and bathroom.

Outside, the tree structure is not visible at all. Instead, the House of Three Trees is decorated with a gigantic corner roof and polycarbonate and plywood cladding. It carries a functional load: it is designed to create a weightless floating form and efficient water drainage.

Wall panels are also wrapped in polycarbonate. Their task is thermal insulation and protection of the house from moisture and cold. As conceived by the designers, they should provide the House of Three Trees with "ethereal lightness."

Specialists of the JK-AR studio do not intend to stop on this project. They plan to introduce old wood construction methods throughout South Korea.
