YouTube’s automatic moderation system has blocked robotic battles. The algorithm considered that they present cruelty to animals.

Video hosting downloads about 300 hours of video. Since people are not able to moderate all incoming content, special technical means are used for this. Of course, they can make mistakes. For example, the other day, an automatic system blocked videos with robot battles. She decided that this is content depicting animal abuse.

The video in which the violation was discovered was uploaded by Jamison Gow. The user took part in the last season of BattleBots and shot several videos. He later decided to upload them to YouTube.

A video hosting representative noted that YouTube has no rules regarding content with robot battles. The temporary lock was erroneous and has already been canceled.
