To find out who is the boss in the house, Laure Fauvel, a photographer from Paris, tried. She prepared an unusual selection of pictures in which children fight monsters.
Creepy clowns in closets, giant spiders under the beds, monstrous gorillas in closets are the fears of young children, who often grow up with little heroes. Sometimes only a qualified psychologist or psychotherapist can help deal with them, who offer to portray their fears.
Parisian photographer Laure Fauvel decided to try her hand in the role of a “lightning rod” of children's fantasies. In her project, she depicted the most encountered monsters invented by children's imagination. Children on them are heroes who fight their fears.
“I wanted to show nightmares from a different angle when children struggle with their fears and are not their victims,” says 22-year-old Laure Fauvel.
