American scientists are faced with a new danger of deadly diseases. According to a study at the JNCI Cancer Spectrum, in the United States, about 80,110 new cases of cancer in adults aged 20 years and older are caused by malnutrition.

Scientists say that colon and rectal cancer develops in 38.3% of cases due to malnutrition, an illiterate diet, starvation, followed by overeating. Men aged 45 to 64 are most susceptible to these diseases.

The potential danger of the development of similar diseases is plagued by people who rarely eat vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and also often and in large quantities eat processed meat, red meat, and drink sweet carbonated drinks.

Research results indicate that a high consumption of processed meat increases the risk of colorectal cancer, while whole grain foods reduce it. But these types of products cannot be called fundamental.

Ultra-processed foods (snacks, sweet soda, fast food) account for 60% of calories in the US. They make up 50% of the diet among residents of Canada and Great Britain. About 40% in developing countries.

According to scientists, eliminating ultraprocessed foods from the diet and replacing them with organic ones can reduce, and sometimes eliminate, the risk of cancer.
