The American company Facebook has started developing a new messenger for its Instagram application. The novelty will be called Threads and will replace the existing service for exchanging private messages.
At this stage, the developers of Facebook are testing a new messenger. He, like his predecessor, will be designed to exchange text messages, photos and videos between “close friends” on Instagram.
In addition to standard features, the novelty will allow sharing information on the user's location, speed of movement and battery level of his smartphone.
Facebook experts say Threads will replace the existing messaging service. They plan to strengthen the messenger with the ability to view the locations of people from the user's friends list on the map. At the moment, they are so far fixed as “in motion”.
The timing of the Threads launch is not yet known exactly. Testing continues.
