In the 1980s, the fantastic saga Maschinen Krieger was incredibly popular in Japan. It dealt with a nuclear war in which fantastic war machines were used. At one time, this story was published in Hobby Japan and spawned a fashion for collecting military equipment from this saga.

Particularly popular began to use collectible figures of military equipment of the future, which were produced by a small company Nitto. Most of the figures were created on a scale of 1/20, but there were both mini-options on a scale of 1/76 and large figures on a scale of 1/6.

Of course, exhibits for such collections cost a lot of money. Therefore, enterprising people went to great lengths to get them. Some even created on their own. Like, for example, a Japanese engineer.

He put up his own production of combat vehicles on the Maschinen Krieger fan site. And he decided to do this for his son, in order to introduce him to his favorite fantastic characters from his childhood. By the way, the Japanese engineer’s cars look much more realistic than the plastic mock-ups used in the Maschinen Krieger.
