These pictures are an opportunity to look into the nomadic lifestyle of children of Irish gypsies - a nomadic community that calls itself pavey. Others call them Irish gypsies.

In order to photograph them, Jamie Johnson had to look for them for about a year. And finally, he found them at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair in October 2018.

Smoking girl, boys with plastic weapons, a teenager with a machete - these gypsy children seemed Jamie Johnson freedom-loving, proud, devoted to their faith and family.

The photographs of the photographer capture a touching bath in a basin, posing in the van and on its background. The photographer was able to successfully "catch" not only the children’s activities at the fair, but also the elements of their daily lives.
