Kiev pensioner for 15 years ennobled his porch. And he did it in a certain way. As a result, the three floors of the entrance turned into the premises of the noble estates of the XVIII century.

Vladimir Chaika, a resident of Kiev's 11 Rainbow Street, turned 3 stairwells of his 9-story entrance into a real museum. He decorated the walls along the stairs with "gilding", portraits of women of the Middle Ages and photo murals with landscapes. After that, part of the porch became a real palace.

“Father is very interested in history, and he likes the period of the XVII-XVIII centuries. He himself found photos of ladies of the 18th century, and we already printed them in large format for pictures in the front door. There are up to 10 pieces, there is even a portrait of Mona Lisa. Many acquaintances came to dad and asked to make such repairs in an ordinary apartment, but he doesn’t want to make money on it and take money from people,” said Andrey Chaika, the master’s son.

The pensioner himself said that he wanted to create something unusual from his porch. For a long time, it was depressing that the residents were indifferent to the appearance of their entrance: battered walls, chipped paint, and the absence of light bulbs.

When Vladimir Chaika worked in the Moscow metro and was engaged in the repair of buildings and structures, he was taught to create stucco moldings. He applied the acquired skills when he retired.
