Families with a cult of vegetarianism or veganism may have children with reduced intelligence. This information was shared by British nutritionist Emma Derbyshire. The doctor states that the nutrition of future parents should be balanced and complete.

According to the nutritionist, refusing food of animal origin deprives the body of an important substance - choline. It is found in meat, eggs, milk. And the hopes that it can be replaced with plant foods are vain. In beans and nuts, the percentage of choline is negligible.

Without choline, the full formation of the structure of the brain and spinal cord is impossible. Future parents, in particular mothers who do not consume animal proteins, put their offspring at serious risk. Choline deficiency - an increase in the unborn child's risk of a neural tube defect that underlies the central nervous system.

In 2016, scientists from Cornell University (USA) reported that vegetarianism can lead to the development of cardiovascular diseases and colorectal cancer.

In 2018, Professor Frank Mitloner from the University of California at Davis (USA), relying on scientific facts, said that the transition of mankind to plant foods will not save the planet, but, on the contrary, will become even more destructive for it.
