The MIUI branded shell, which is installed on Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones, will allow you to block embedded advertising.
Despite the fact that the user interface of MIUI for Android suits smartphone owners, the presence of built-in advertising in many applications overshadows their use. Moreover, it causes a flurry of negative emotions. Therefore, the developers decided to listen to the wishes of their customers.
MIUI 11 is planned to be equipped with a system function to disable ads. It can be tested in the beta version of MIUI 9.8.29, which is currently available to users in China. The ability to block ads will be a standard feature and it will probably be released at the end of September 2019.
According to the top manager of the company, although the revenue from built-in advertising in smartphones is high, but the desire of customers to get rid of intrusive advertising is still more important.
Currently, in-beta ads cannot be disabled in notifications. Probably, this part of the interface of Xiaomi and Redmi gadgets will remain unchanged.
