An unusual incident occurred at EasyJet airline, as a result of which one of the passengers had to replace the pilot.
Failure in the computer system of the London airport led to disruption of staff. One of the pilots was not ready to change due to inexplicable rearrangements with the schedule. The airport administration warned passengers about the flight delay by 2 hours. This time was necessary to find a pilot who could replace him.
By a happy coincidence, Mike Bradley was to fly on this flight with his family. In order not to postpone the vacation, he sat at the helm of the Airbus. This man planned to fly not in the cockpit, but in the cabin. But fate decreed otherwise and he had to take the pilot's seat. So Mike helped himself, his family and hundreds of passengers who flew to Spain.
“When I found out about the flight delay, I just called the company’s office, introduced myself and said that I had all the necessary documents with me and that I was ready to pilot the plane, because I finally want to go on vacation. After about 38 seconds, they called me back and thanked me very much for agreeing to fly to Spain,” said Bradley.
It was later revealed that Mike Bradley has been a pilot at EasyJet since 2015. He is respected among colleagues, passengers. The airline has repeatedly received proposals to encourage him for his ability to create a warm atmosphere on board.
