For some people, a beautiful dish is not just a matter of aesthetic enjoyment before breakfast, lunch or dinner. For a Thai doctor and food decorator, Nawaporn Pax Piewpun is a lifelong affair. He creates figures from famous cartoons and films from boiled rice.

The decorator and the doctor give preference to the Japanese dish of fresh rice, molded in the shape of a triangle or a ball. It is called onigiri. Usually it is filled with different fillings and wrapped in dried nori seaweed. It is from onigiri that Nawaporn Pax Piewpun creates its small masterpieces.

As a rule, these are characters that are popular in the author’s homeland and around the world. The doctor is quite scrupulous about his work. For example, he can spend the whole day creating small parts.

By profession Nawaporn Pax Piewpun is a dermatologist. Decorating food is his hobby. Thanks to his work, he inspires people to create their own crafts. Also, the man holds consultations and workshops on decorating food.
