Specialists from the Bible Search and Research Institute (BASE) said they discovered anchors that were allegedly dropped from the ship of the Apostle Paul in Malta.
According to historians, a shipwreck occurred in the 60th year of our era. 4 anchors were dropped from the ship. But, despite this, the ship still ran aground. Passengers escaped to Malta.
BASE staff reported that anchors were found off the south coast of the island, in St. Thomas Bay. According to their version, the find indicates a shipwreck. It is believed that St. Paul’s Bay, which is located in the northern part of Malta, is the landing place for the passengers of the ship.
It is not yet entirely clear how the found anchors and the ship where the arrested Apostle Paul were transported from Judea to Rome were connected. Malta has at all times been the “connecting link” of merchant shipping. Therefore, the number of ships that dropped their anchors there and, accordingly, could lose them, in antiquity was in no way less than a few hundred every year.
It is also reported that on the seabed in the area from time to time find different objects. Many of them can be identified quite accurately.
