Even at the design stage, the kitchen can be planned so that it can be easily and quickly cleaned. Experts told how to do it.

When the owners of the house often use the kitchen, and they are running out of time, then this place needs to be designed taking into account the maximum practicality of the materials and the ease of care for them.

1. Provide ample storage space.
When designing, you should analyze what and how much will be stored in the kitchen. Here you should take into account the number of residents, their preferences in food and cooking. Decide on the volume of each category of items and choose adequate storage locations for them.

2. Consider finishing the apron.
The most sensitive part of the apron is the seams. There accumulates fat, soot, moisture. Materials that are fixed and leave behind seams are not the most practical. Better give preference to large tiles or glass cloth. When choosing a color for grouting, discard very light and very dark shades.

3. Use a practical technique.
When choosing a technique, opt for metal surfaces. White plastic becomes yellower with time, it is also more distinct on it, like black mirror surfaces, fingerprints are visible. The haze looks much neater and on such surfaces are less noticeable traces, splashes and stains.

4. Choose simple facade handles.
Glossy, varnished and glass front handles are places where fingerprints and dried drops of water are very noticeable. This is especially evident in bright daylight. Much more practical is the “handleless handle”, where the door opens with a slight push.

5. Install sinks that do not require special care.
Sinks made of natural or artificial stone are beautiful, but not practical. Colored products poured or poured onto them literally dig into the surface or leave stains that are difficult to wash off. The most practical solution is a thick stainless steel sink.
