Lexus's first production yacht passes its test drive

The yacht model, called the Lexus LY 650, was built jointly by the company of the same name, Marquis Yachts and design studio Nuvolari Lenard.

At the heart of this design novelty is the Lexus Sport Yacht Concept, presented in 2017. The signature L-finesse style is here that reflects traditional luxury. Although the format for it was chosen slightly different, not automotive.

Passengers of the first production yacht can be accommodated in 3 2-berth cabins equipped with a shower and toilet in each of them. One cannot but mention the luxurious and rich equipment of all rooms. As an additional option, Mark Levinson speaker system and LY-Link proprietary system. The latter helps to control the ship's systems using a smartphone.

Powerplant Lexus LY 650 - 12.8-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine Volvo Penta IPS rated at 1,050 hp Engines with increased to 1250 or 1350 hp are available for a surcharge power. The volume of the fuel tank is 4012 liters, the capacity of the tank for fresh water is 852 liters.

Production of the first serial yacht will be carried out at the US shipyard Marquis-Larson Boat Group in Wisconsin.
