In Switzerland, several thousand people staged a protest rally boycotting fifth-generation mobile communications.

To date, about 300 5G cell towers are successfully operating in the country. But the protesters in Bern demanded to stop their work before receiving a detailed report from experts.

The essence of the claim is the possible detrimental effect of fifth-generation mobile communications on human health and the environment. Opponents of 5G are sure that until there is no expert opinion, you should not use the connection. They must confirm that it is no more harmful than existing options.

In January-February 2019, more than 180 scientists from 36 countries of the world turned to the leadership of the European Union with a request not to introduce 5G. At least until studies confirm the safety of the standard. Citizens of many European countries took over the initiative of scientific minds, reinforcing their dissatisfaction with protests.
