A new record for the speed of mobile Internet: in Switzerland reached the maximum download speed

By the joint efforts of the Swiss mobile operator Sunrise and the Chinese company Huawei, a record was set. The maximum download speed on the mobile Internet was recorded.

The speed shown by several smartphones combined in one 5G cell was 3.67 Gb / s when downloading. Until recently, this figure reached 2 Gb / s. 3.67 Gbit / s is an officially registered record of mobile Internet for one smartphone.

Huawei is a partner of the mobile operator in the 5G for People program. Within its framework, Sunrise plans to make Switzerland the leading European country in digital technology. The company currently provides 5G coverage in 262 locations in Switzerland.
