New hydrogen sedan debuted in Tokyo

At the Tokyo Motor Show, a new hydrogen sedan was introduced - the second generation of the Toyota Mirai model. The novelty debuted in the status of a concept car.

Production of this vehicle began back in 2014. The first generation was based on the Toyota Prius hybrid platform. This influenced the design and roominess of the Toyota Mirai.

The second generation is based on the TNG platform. It is longer, wider and lower than its predecessor. It was equipped with an updated body design and interior with rich equipment. Another difference is the 5-seater saloon. In the first generation models there were 4 places.

As for the technical characteristics, the information has not yet been disclosed. The only thing that the new Toyota Mirai will be improved dynamics and handling, power reserve will triple.

The premiere of the second-generation Toyota Mirai series will take place next year.
