There are millions of ancient burials in Egypt. Many of them are already open, many are not yet. The burial, which was found recently, refers precisely to the latter.

It is enough to recall Tutankhamun, one of the most famous rulers of Egypt. The entrance to his tomb was littered with construction debris from the neighboring tomb of the more famous pharaoh. Subsequently, the latter was plundered mercilessly, and Tutankhamun was forgotten for many centuries. This fact makes the discovery of 20 colorful sarcophagi in Luxor on the west bank of the Nile even more significant.

"A large burial site with colorful sarcophagi was discovered ... This is the largest find in the last few years," the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities reports.

According to Egyptian officials, the sarcophagi have not yet been opened. They were discovered in an untouched state: as they were once left by the ancient Egyptians. Judging by the scale of the find, we are talking about a large two-level burial.

A statement about the find, as well as answers to questions that interest the public, are planned for the coming week. So far, nothing is known about the burial, even its date.
