The owner of this apartment is an avid bachelor. He turned to the architect Gonzalo Pardo, who took on the transformation of his home, turning the attic into a comfortable room.

The owner of the architectural studio Gon Architects received an offer from his friend to convert his apartment. The main requirement that the owner made was that the space should be bright and airy. There should be enough space inside to accommodate samples of modern design, works of art and an extensive library.

There was little time for updating the apartment, and the budget was limited. But, despite this, the architect was able to cope with the task.

The apartment was equipped in the 50s. It had 4 bedrooms and 3 small windows that overlooked the courtyard. This made the space inside very dark.

At first, the architect got rid of stretch ceilings and numerous partitions. So he wanted to maximize the space for light. Windows have also been added, including dormers. Innovations have affected not only lighting but also ventilation.

The open plan embodied the concept of transparency. It adorns the texture of brick and wood. The floors are finished with wood of different grades and shades. This allows you to organize the space, visually highlight the functional areas.

The main functional and decorative component of the interior is red. It helps to structure and organize the space.
