The architect Sophie Dries created and implemented a project that allowed the two apartments to be combined. It turned out stylish and spacious housing. And its interior is an example of the symbiosis of aesthetics of antiquity and rich color accents.

These two apartments, which later became one, are located in a building of the XIX century. Customers - a family of 4 people. To create a complete living space for them, Sophie Dries combined two small apartments.

The project involved a detailed planning. It should be a single whole from a functional and aesthetic point of view. In the center of the layout is an entrance hall, a corridor and a kitchen. Doorways are open, some partitions are completely demolished, the geometry of the rooms is maximally simplified.

The aesthetics of the old interiors, it was decided to leave. Moldings, stucco molding, fireplaces and parquet floors fill the space with the spirit of the time. But the dynamics and minimalism of today is still able to bring. Against the background of noble walls, design objects and works of modernity stand out vividly.
