The first part of the Lilium Jet electric taxi test is over. This was reported by representatives of the German startup company Lilium.

The first flight of the device became known back in May 2019. Now, a German startup has notified online publications about the end of the test.

Aerotaxi Lilium Jet is made according to the scheme of a tiltrotor equipped with two static wings. Rotary fans are located on the wings: 12 fans are located on the front wing, 24 - on the rear. This design allows the device to perform vertical take-off and landing, to make a horizontal flight. To do this, just move the fans to a horizontal position.

According to the developers, the Lilium Jet air taxi is capable of covering a distance of up to 300 km. Its maximum speed is 300 km / h. Inside the device there is a 5-seater cabin: for 1 pilot and 4 passengers. Final test tests confirmed all numbers.

Soon, the construction of the plant will be completed, where they will establish serial production of air taxi. The company plans to produce about a hundred models per year by the start of commercial services, which is expected in 2025.
