Microsoft has created Project xCloud, a service that lets you run games developed for Xbox on smartphones and tablets. However, for some games it is better to have a special controller – a modular gamepad. To start the game on your smartphone, you need to connect two halves of the device to its edges. The same can be done with the tablet. The only difference is the length of the removable handles is different, so they do not interfere. In this case, the developers have changed the location of the triggers, so the player will have to practice a little to get used to the new management.

The first versions of the devices appeared in 2014, but only during the Ubicomp 2018 conference the company shared information about its project. Probably, Microsoft was inspired by Nintendo Switch, and therefore decided to resume its own development.
