Samsung has presented a new top-end chipset - Exynos 990. It is assumed that it will be used in the new Galaxy S11 smartphone.

The South Korean group of companies presented the flagship chipset, which in the future plans to use in the Galaxy S11. It is called Exynos 990.

The new platform is based on the EUV 7-nanometer process technology. The chipset includes two custom cores, two productive ARM Cortex-A76 cores and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. Also, the graphics processor is ARM Mali-G77.

According to the developers, the platform’s performance will be 20% higher than its predecessor. It supports LPDDR5 memory; has support for screens with a frame frequency of 120 Hz.

In addition to the flagship chipset, a 5G modem was presented - Exynos Modem 5123. It is made using the same EUV 7-nanometer process technology. The device can provide download speeds of up to 5.1 gigabits per second - in the ranges below 6 GHz, and up to 7.35 gigabits per second - in the millimeter wave range.
