Starting in 2020, Japan plans to launch experimental unmanned vehicles on the basis of a new generation Lexus LS sedan. At the Toyota Research Institute (TRI), they are called Platform 4 (P4).
The testing area for TRI news will be Tokyo's Odaiba district. There, from July to September 2020, Platform 4 will ride in real traffic conditions.
