Have created a drone that flies "in the plane"
The Heliplane quadcopter, which was created by Drone Volt specialists, can fly not only like a helicopter, but also like an airplane. The novelty makes a vertical take-off and landing, and also moves horizontally.
The drone from Drone Volt is equipped with an additional wing span of 230 or 270 cm, a tail and a front pulling propeller. The communication system also lends itself to improvement: the range of action can be increased from 0.5 to 10 km. In this configuration, the drone can fly for almost 60 minutes with a load of 1.6 kg.
The developers announced three versions of the device: for guarding objects, for creating three-dimensional panoramas, for drawing up detailed maps of surfaces. On the first is a thermal and video camera, on the second is a high-resolution laser lidar, on the third is a centimeter-accurate navigation system.
