A Japanese student at Musashino University in Kodaira, Nasa Funahara, creates reproductions of famous paintings. The girl uses for this trim masking tape

The most famous masters and their works, which the girl tried to duplicate, are paintings by Vermeer, da Vinci and Van Gogh. The Japanese manages to turn them into "mosaics" of small sticky pieces, reports BASIC DECOR DISIGN.

The girl says that working on one picture takes her about a week. She uses a special masking tape, which is based on the washi. This traditional Japanese paper comes in a variety of colors, patterns and designs.

Funahara adds that her hobby for reproducing paintings began with collecting. The girl collected all the varieties of masking tape that she could find.

With the growth of the collection of tapes, the number of Funahara compositions increased. “Scream” by Edward Munch and “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by Jan Vermeer she replenishes with new creations, finding time to fulfill private orders from numerous organizations.
