Hyundai announced the development of a new technology to suppress the noise effects that accompany the car while driving from the outside

Hyundai Motor Group has announced a system called Road Noise Active Noise Control (RANC). According to manufacturers, it is capable of suppressing noise while driving a vehicle.

The technology analyzes the noise level outside the cabin and generates sounds in antiphase inside it, Popular Mechanics informs, referring to the manufacturers' statement.

It is noted that RANC uses special sensors that analyze vibration from the road to the car. So, the firmware constantly monitors external noise. Computing speed and signal transmission are optimized, so it takes fractions of a second for everything.

The manufacturer adds that the technology is able to analyze and suppress noise separately for the driver's seat and passenger seats.

The first models to receive RANC are the new Genesis brand cars. Then the system will appear on other cars of the Hyundai Motor Group.
