The problem in the largest aircraft engine was fixed by the specialists of General Electric Aviation. Now engineers will be able to begin testing the Boeing 777X - the main novelty of modern aircraft manufacturing.

General Electric GE9X - the largest aircraft engine of our time. Its technical complexity has puzzled designers. They were forced to look for ways to solve this problem situation, reports Naked Science.

It is noted that the design miscalculation became known a year ago. It turned out that the shoulders of the levers, which drive the rotor blades of the compressor stator, experience too much load when the engine is running.

At the moment, these technical shortcomings have been eliminated, and the characteristics of the GE9X have been maintained at the same level.
