Alison Dunlop, author of edible masterpieces, took up confectionery immediately after maternity leave. Prior to this, a woman for 10 years collaborated with fashion houses and created designs for clothes, shoes and accessories for them. It is reported by BIG Picture.
Alison Dunlop was educated at the Glasgow School of Art, the London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art. In her family there were many bakers, so she decided to try herself in this matter.
“I am from a family of bakers who have become famous at local holidays for their homemade cakes. But I did not even think of becoming a pastry chef until I went on maternity leave. My interest in experiments arose, how to combine classic pastries with designer aesthetics. Subsequent experiments with chocolate ended with the creation of bold graphic patterns, vibrant colors and a fun design,” says Alison.
