The test results opened the way for the chipset to the segment of top-end devices. Previously, the manufacturer supplied relatively functional inexpensive chips for budget and very cheap smartphones.
But Dimensity 1000 5G is already showing record high results in popular benchmarks, and its declared characteristics are comparable or superior to those of the most advanced mobile processors already released or announced.
MT6889 will be the first single-chip system on the market with a built-in 5G modem, supporting two SIM cards of this communication standard and both 5G architectures - autonomous (SA) and non-autonomous (NSA).
