Employees of the company IHS Markit suggest that in 2040 the production of Autonomous machines in the world will exceed 33 million pieces. About half of this amount will be sold in China. Thus, the Chinese market will become the largest market of unmanned models on the planet. Volvo has signed a contract with Baidu, thanks to which the car manufacturer will not remain aloof from this trend. Volvo plans to start developing new electric cars and robot cars.

Baidu is already working with BMW, Ford and ZF. The developer has created the operating system DuerOS, as well as Apollo – a platform for unmanned vehicles. The first results of cooperation will appear after 2020.
