A blogger from Kiev accidentally found an almost new Zaporozhets for the disabled. The car was released in 1992
The new Zaporozhets is almost untouched. During its existence, he overcame only 121 km.
The found ZAZ-968 was produced specifically for the disabled with damage to one leg. In this version of the vehicle, an engine with 27 horsepower was used, reports Popular Mechanics, referring to the blogger’s Instagram account.
ZAZ once produced four different modifications of Zaporozhets for disabled people: 968MB - for people with amputated legs but healthy hands, 968MR - for people with damage to one arm and one leg, 968MD - for people with damage to one leg, 968 MG - also for people with damage to one leg.
According to the user, the car he found is in almost untouched condition. It was released in 1992 and since then has had a mileage of only 121 kilometers (14 of them were driven by a new owner in the last year).
The floor has a pedal that is responsible for the grip; instead of the brake pedal, a large lever is used on the central tunnel, and paddle shifters are responsible for the fuel supply.
This model is equipped with a 41-horsepower 1.2-liter engine. It can accelerate to the first “hundred” in 32 seconds, and the maximum speed is 118 kilometers per hour.
