It has been known for a long time that LG can develop its own smartphone with a flexible screen - the company’s patents on the network more than once appeared on various designs of such a device. Recently a new patent was found - it was noticed by the Dutch portal LetsGoDigital.

The new patent describes the design of a foldable smartphone, similar to that of the flexible Huawei Mate X. As you can see on the renders of the device described in the document, the screen folds vertically in half - and when folded, it is outside. At the same time, you can notice the module located on the side with three cameras and, probably, a flash (however, it is possible that this is the fourth camera).

At the top of the device there is a power button, speaker and microphone; at the same time, the speaker and microphone are also at the bottom - in addition to them, there is a connector for a charger, as well as, possibly, a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Of course, this is just a patent - and whether LG will ever release such a device is still unknown. LG is expected to introduce its first foldable smartphone next year.
