Volkswagen presented the sound of the ID.3 electric car, developed by Volkswagen Design in collaboration with German-Hungarian composer Leslie Mandoki.

In the summer of this year, the rules came into force in the European Union, according to which manufacturers should equip electric cars with acoustic warning systems AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alert System): when driving at speeds above 30 kilometers per hour, as well as when reversing, electric cars must produce artificial noise, necessary to warn pedestrians.

Volkswagen presented the “soundtrack” of its ID.3 electric hatchback in Berlin, created by Volkswagen Design, together with German-Hungarian composer Leslie Mandoki. VW calls the sound of an electric car "the sound of new mobility." (You can listen to the sound of the car here.)

Volkswagen ID.3 is built on the MEB modular platform. According to VW, the electric car will receive a range of 330–550 kilometers; prices for the novelty will start from less than 30,000 euros. As expected, ID.3 will go on sale in Europe in the summer of 2020.
