A team of scientists from the University of South Carolina has created a platform for the assembly of furniture based on artificial intelligence. Besides the fact that this development helps to model furniture, it also teaches devices.
The assembly platform is capable of supporting more than 80 designs that are configured for different learning tasks, reports HIITEK.
Scientists from South Carolina are confident that, thanks to their invention, they will delegate to robots advanced skills in manipulating objects. In the future, this technology may be the basis of machine learning for robotics.
“This tool is designed for AI, which first learns on simple tasks, and then goes on to design complex objects that require long-term planning without human intervention,” the study notes.
In the immediate plans of researchers equipping the platform with 3D function. In their opinion, it will allow you to remotely control robots and create demo videos using a VR controller or 3D mouse.
They also want to use the voice to control and train several AI at once.
