Canadian startup Flash Forest has launched a new project. It is planned to plant more than 1 billion trees with drones by 2028.
In addition to the new technology for sowing trees, the company plans to produce special seeds that will grow faster than usual, HiTech reports.
According to the leadership of the stratap, a heavy drone of their own design will be used for landing. He will shoot with seeds from a small air gun. Following him will fly a second drone, spraying fertilizers and other nutrients.
The idea of the company is that drones will sow seeds that have already sprouted and control their growth. This approach will increase the number of trees grown and reduce the amount of additional costs associated with planting seedlings in the nursery.
