Vibrant décor inside and metallic flowers outside — a two-story Los Angeles boutique home

The house, designed by architect Cameron McNull, stands out among other structures. Its facades are decorated with flowers carved from metal. They are visible not only from the outside, but also from the inside.

The house was called the boutique house, as it was designed and built in accordance with the standards of the city of Los Angeles. From beginning to end, the architect oversaw the construction, designed furniture, selected works of art and interior items, informs the Archidea.


The facade of the building is made of aluminum composite material. For its formation, integrated CAD and CNC milling technologies were used. In order for the flowers to be of the same shape, the patterns of three types of flowers Tivoli flos laminae quinque ad septem were developed according to the project. First, they were placed randomly in computer programs, and then manually distributed on the facade panels.

The two-story house consists of four bedrooms, a guest room, four bathrooms. In the garage, a studio is created, which is equipped with a kitchen with plumbing. The roof of the house is decorated with a location with wooden flooring, a barbecue, trees and a hot tub-barrel.

Earlier it was reported that the design company Heatherwick Studio created a project to be implemented in one of Tokyo's districts. Its essence lies in the construction of an unusual community center.
