Now you can download scans of paintings by Goya, Monet, Cezanne and hundreds of other artists for free and in high resolution. In total, 321,178 works of art were uploaded to the network.

In Paris, in various museums, hundreds of thousands of works of art are stored. These are paintings by Francisco Goya, Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet and many others. Paris Musées, a state institution that unites 14 city museums, has simplified people's access to masterpieces. 321 178 paintings, photographs and images of coins were uploaded to the organization’s website. More than 150,000 scans are freely available and anyone can download them in a magnificent typographic resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch), which allows you to print detailed copies without blurring. Other works can only be viewed in a web resolution of 72 dpi.

“Digital files are freely available and can be downloaded and used by anyone without any technical, legal or financial restrictions, including for commercial purposes,” says the Paris Musées release.

Visitors to the Paris Musées website can browse museums catalogs and specially created virtual exhibitions for free as long as they like, without limiting the number of visits and the duration of sessions.
