Needlework as a hobby was chosen by Vanessa Barragan, a resident of one of the Portuguese cities. The young artist creates voluminous, incredibly detailed tapestries and carpets.

Vanessa uses special woolen threads for her creations. And she is also helped by a special technique of weaving and laying out on a fabric basis, an artist from Portugal writes in her Instagram account.

Vanessa really likes the maritime theme. She loves creating carpets with views of the ocean floor with corals and reefs. The girl often portrays the most unusual creatures of the depths on them.

One of Vanessa’s recent works is a tapestry created as a sign of partnership between Heathrow Airport in London and Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in southwestern London. This tapestry impresses not only with its beauty, but also with its scale. It took 520 hours to create it and 8 kg of jute and cotton were spent, as well as 42 kg of woolen threads.

Another hobby mentioned earlier. Randa Haddadin draws with colorful helium pens on her feet.
